Press X to Jason

I don't know if I'd be able to tolerate an entire game of this kind of pseudo interaction but this clip illustrates just how affecting certain video game scenarios can be. One of the main characters from 2010 release "Heavy Rain" on PS3 loses his young son Jason in a thronged mall at the beginning of the game. Jason wanders away from his father, the character you're in control of, and you have to struggle to get through the crowd to find him. Just watching the clip I felt the intensity of the situation and cause and effect of the main characters actions, I'd imagine if you were actually playing through this sequence you'd feel genuinely responsibility for finding Jason. If the entire game manages to generate relatable and equally terrifying scenarios and retain you're interest in the story I'd really like to play the rest of it.

This sequence quickly became an internet meme resulting in some dude creating a flash based game where you have to repeatedly press X to shout out "Jason" until the inevitable happens. Found here.
